Meet Some of Our Key Players

Prepared Foods Manager  Jason Hull has been baking at the Co-op for as long as most folks can remember. His well-known creations like Cherry & White Chocolate scones, Parmesan Peppercorn bread and our delicious all-butter puff pastry turnovers keep folks clamoring for more!

Produce Manager   Chris Neville was raised in a grocery store! It was a family business, actually. When he struck out on his own, it was his love for rock climbing that brought him and his wife Kyle (who also works at the Co-op) to Southern Illinois, but in short order he found himself deeply involved with the Co-op where he was hired in 2007. Chris is known for his beautiful displays and his thoughtful demeanor.  If you don’t know him by name, you know him by the smile he greets customers with in the produce department.

Grocery Operations Manager Greg Wharton has been with the Co-op since 2000 and has worked in almost every department at Neighborhood Co-op. As Grocery Operations Manager, Greg works with buyers to develop just the right product mix for an attractive, well-stocked grocery store.  When not at work, he keeps busy with his wife and son.

Customer Service Manager  Pale (Pale has no last name) has done just about everything and gone just about everywhere. From touching up photos to driving a rig, managing a coffee shop to work as an interior designer, his breadth of experience makes him one of the more lively managers at the Co-op. Pale started at the Co-op as a cashier in 2006 when the store moved to its current location. Pale was a natural fit for customer service manager when the position came open in 2007. Cats, modern design and toe shoes are objects of his passion.
